From this weekend up to 30 August, visitors to the Eiffel Tower can enjoy the newly renovated first floor summer terrace which is part of the commitment to sustainable development.
A pleasant and fun recreational area of over 250 m2, 57 m above the city.
All the furnishings on the summer terrace have been made in France from recycled or recyclable materials, such as recycled wooden pallets, plastic, sails, etc. An information board introduces all the furnishings and contains enjoyable and educational facts about how they were created.
Everything combines to create a very pleasant spot for a break: 5 lounge areas with armchairs, sofas and coffee tables, high bar tables and chairs, swinging communal tables created from about 15,000 plastic bottles, benches, poufs made from about 30m2 of sails, and even deck chairs with pedals which allow you to recharge the battery on your mobile device by the power of your calf muscles...
Box trees bring a touch of greenery to the décor, and there is also a large canopy to provide visitors with some shade.
Light snacks available from an alfresco bar
A bar area offers light snacks:
Pink champagne is available at €10 a glass (€18 for two glasses), candy floss for €3 and handmade ice cream made from French milk for €4.50, with one of the two scoops being Philippe URRACA's 'two vanilla' flavour. Philippe is a winner of the Best Craftsman in France and president of the MOF (the prestigious Best Craftsman in France competition).
LED lighting creates a soft mood in the evenings.
Lastly - a 6 m high Eiffel Tower made from palettes (with a stainless steel frame) will, no doubt, invite many photos.
The terrace is open to the public every day from 10.00 am - 10.00 pm
The Eiffel Tower is open every day and evening from 9.30 pm to 11.00 pm
and from 9.00 am to 12.45 am from mid-June.
