From 20 May, visitors will be able to enjoy the sunny weather on the First Floor pop-up terrace. Based on the theme of the Tower’s growth spurt to 330 meters (1,083 feet) this year, it offers a lovely space to relax and learn more about the Eiffel Tower.
Decor describing how the Tower has grown
On March 15, the tower grew by 20 feet with the installation of a new DAB+ antenna, reaching a height of 1,083 feet. To find out more about this new historic and, above all, symbolic step, the takeaway stands on the terrace — operated by Umanis/Sodexo, the Tower’s catering provider — have been decorated with a mural describing how the Tower has grown in the course of its 133 years.
Verdant decor with iconic Mediterranean plants
Yuccas, oleander, lavender, palms, olive trees... this year, the emphasis has been on filling the space with greenery, featuring typically Mediterranean species. In the center of the terrace, a circular bar displays the phrase “the star of Paris is shining higher” around its façade. To relax, choose between chairs, pouffes, couches, armchairs, or even swings... Around a hundred chairs in total are available for visitors to enjoy the panorama, at a height of 187 feet.
If you’re feeling peckish or even ravenous...
Visitors can enjoy slices of pizza or taste delicious, artisanal, made-in-France ice creams. As for drinks, apart from soda, the bar offers a signature cocktail called 330, as a tribute to the new height of the Tower in meters.
