Open since November 26, the Christmas terrace on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower plunges visitors into a magical fairytale world. In and around the dome decorated on the theme of books, visitors can enjoy the warming atmosphere and the exceptional view of the City of Light as they settle themselves comfortably at the central bar designed as a magical bookstore. This year, yuletide celebrations at the Eiffel Tower will include strolls through the illuminated gardens, story readings for children, carols by a gospel choir and visits from Santa Claus!
Holiday celebrations on the theme of stories on the first floor
This year, the terrace on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower is decked out with story-themed decorations, offering a bright and poetic experience. Visitors can take time out in a warm and festive atmosphere around the central bar adorned with books, quills, and other objects evoking the world of fantastic tales. Inside the dome, lamps in the form of open books diffuse a soft light, creating an enchanting setting from which to admire the breathtaking view of Paris.
Story readings and carols for young and old
The terrace will also host special family events throughout the festive period. On the weekends of December 27 and 28, and January 3 and 4 (from 1pm to 5pm), storytellers will inspire children’s imaginations with enchanting tales in French and English. Seated near a photocall in the form of a giant book, visitors can enjoy the unique decor as they plunge into a 10-15-minute tale evoking the Tower’s history.
On Thursday evenings, from December 4 through 18, and on Friday December 26, the Diamond Gospel choir will bring their own touch of musical joy as their voices ring out beneath the dome with a mixture of carols and gospel songs, making visits to the first floor even more magical.
Santa Claus on the first floor!
Don’t miss out on the visit from Santa! He will be stopping by on Wednesdays and weekends from Saturday 6 through Sunday 21 December, then everyday from Monday December 22 through Wednesday December 24,* offering children and their families an unforgettable experience.
