A mysterious text, which is said Gustave Eiffel hid, the Tower staff recently discovered, takes you on an enigmatic journey scattered with clues through the first floor of the monument.
Your mission? To find the heart of the Eiffel Tower, where a mad scholar once concealed the fruits of his research into a new and free form of energy...
Using your free booklet (in French and English), you can set out in search of clues hidden throughout the entire floor. 20 minutes is all it takes to finish this fun and engaging task with family and friends! Want to add some extra challenge? Then set out in the evening, after dark!
Treasure hunters are invited to record their success for posterity and share the news on Twitter with @LaTourEiffel et #lecoeurdelatour (#theheartofthetower). The most creative tweets will be RT’ed on the Tower’s official account @LaTourEiffel.
After all that mental effort, enjoy a workout on the 190 sq m skating rink!
Perched 57 metres above the ground, the skating rink is open to kids and grown-ups alike until 6 March, from 10.30 am to 10 pm. There are skates for all sizes (27 to 45) and sleds for toddlers. Suitable for people with reduced mobility.
The Eiffel Tower is open every day and evening from 9.30 am to 11.45 pm.
The treasure hunt is free for all visiting the Eiffel Tower.
